Juan Gabriel Rodríguez is a public health professional focused on advancing brain health and strengthening the public health response to Alzheimer’s and other dementias. He currently serves as a Senior Specialist, Public Health Programs at the Alzheimer’s Association, supporting both the Healthy Brain Initiative and the BOLD Public Health Center of Excellence on Dementia Risk Reduction.In this role, Juan leads communications and engagement strategies that help translate evidence into public health action. His work supports efforts to promote brain health, improve early detection and diagnosis, reduce risk and support caregivers. He manages national webinars and learning opportunities, provides technical assistance to health departments and chapter staff, and supports dissemination of tools aligned with the Healthy Brain Initiative Road Map.Juan serves as editor of the Alzheimer’s Association Public Health E-News, reaching more than public health professionals each month. He has led efforts to improve engagement through user-centered design, clear messaging and strategic content planning.His work focuses on making public health guidance clear, actionable and accessible. He has supported national conferences, contributed to federally funded programs and helped expand workforce training and public health partnerships nationwide.Juan brings more than a decade of experience across long-term care and public health, with a background in memory care leadership. His perspective connects frontline care with systems-level strategy, with a focus on equity and improving outcomes for aging populations.He holds a master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction from DePaul University, where he focused on designing accessible, user-centered tools for aging populations. Juan holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Health Services Administration (Aging Services) and Spanish from the University of North Florida.He remains committed to improving quality of life for older adults through thoughtful leadership, inclusive design and cross-sector collaboration.
