About Juan Carlos Cuevas

I am a bilingual school leader with a deep commitment to educational equity, restorative practices, and the holistic development of students. Currently serving as a Principal within Morgan Hill Unified School District, I lead with the belief that strong instructional systems, authentic relationships, and student-centered supports are essential to closing opportunity gaps for Students of Color.My leadership experience spans middle school and K–8 settings, where I have led instructional coaching cycles, professional learning communities, PBIS implementation, and restorative justice systems. I have overseen the creation of wellness centers, supported English Learner reclassification efforts, and partnered closely with families and community stakeholders to strengthen school culture and student outcomes.Having served as an Assistant Principal, teacher leader, and instructional coach, I bring a systems-oriented approach grounded in collaboration, data-informed decision-making, and continuous improvement. I am driven by the responsibility to create schools where students feel safe, supported, challenged, and empowered to reach their fullest potential.
