WORK HISTORY
Tech Chair @Shpe Fau
Boca Raton, FL, US
As Co-Tech Director of SHPE FAU, I played a key role in building and maintaining the chapter’s technical infrastructure while driving new initiatives that directly supported member engagement and organizational growth. I was responsible for managing and enhancing our website, leading refactoring efforts to improve usability, scalability, and performance, while also troubleshooting issues to ensure a reliable platform for events, updates, and resources. Recognizing the need for mobile-first solutions, I spearheaded the planning and early development of SHPE FAU’s first iOS app, defining its initial architecture, outlining functional requirements, and guiding prototype creation to better connect members with chapter activities.Beyond development, I hosted and co-led workshops focused on web development and software skills, empowering members with practical tools relevant to industry demands. These workshops allowed me to refine my ability to teach technical concepts while mentoring peers. Collaboration was another core part of my role—I worked closely with the executive board to align technology initiatives with chapter goals, from event registration systems to digital outreach campaigns. I also supported our chapter’s participation in the SHPE National Convention, ensuring our platforms highlighted our accomplishments and growth.Through this position, I strengthened my expertise in web and mobile development, project planning, and technical leadership while contributing to a mission-driven community. It was an experience that deepened my passion for using technology to solve problems, foster collaboration, and create meaningful impact.
