About Juan Rohrer
Hello, I am a graduate student at Princeton University majoring in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE). I have experience in research as well as manufacturing, simulating, and testing within an engineering design context. My time at Boeing has allowed me to develop skills in numerous subfields, including structural engineering, aerodynamics, stability, and aircraft configuration. Recently, I’ve had the opportunity to assist the Boeing team in characterizing the aerodynamic performance and flight behaviors of NASA’s new experimental aircraft: the X-66A, or transonic truss-braced wing. I am open to full-time opportunities in research, industry, and beyond, and am in love with everything space and aviation!

Assigned to Aircraft Safety Engineering to support 737 MAX 10 safety analyses and Amended Type Certification (ATC) efforts; developing compliance showings to 14 CFR Part 25 via SAE ARP4754B and ARP4761A guidelines. Revise Particular Risk Analyses (PRAs) including Bird Strike and Sustained Engine imbalance; validate human‑factors (HF) assumptions per ACSAA 106 through extensive coordination with systems, Flight Sciences, and Flight Deck teams. Review System Safety Assessments (SSA) with system teams for compliance to 14 CFR 25.1309; identified multiple findings and mitigations, prompting process changes that improved document quality and downstream efficiency. Conduct cross-functional hazard analyses (FHA) and requirements validation and verification via IBM DOORS
