ABOUT JUAN OROPEZA

Juan Oropeza has a strong passion for three things: continuous improvement, growth, and solving complex problems. In order to obtain the tools necessary to live up to these passions, he graduated from the University of South Florida, with an undergraduate degree in Quantitative Economics and Econometrics and a Minor in Leadership Studies. At USF, he managed to attain and succeed in some of the most prestigious leadership roles at USF, from being an Orientation Team Leader to serving as president of the USF Ambassadors (considered the most prestigious organization on campus). Seeking to give back to his community and create an impact in the fight towards educational equity for students of low income and resources, Juan taught in a classroom setting for two years with Teach For America as a Corps Member in Miami-Dade. Juan then moved to the finance field and leveraged his technical skills to solve complex problems as a high-performing contributor at both Goldman Sachs and Citibank, respectively. Juan is now a Vice President at J.P. Morgan-Chase where he is actively pursuing the continuous improvement and growth for himself and his team. In each role Juan has had, whether in college, the classroom, or in the field of finance, he has made sure to push the organizations and its members closer towards excellence.
