   Oversee, support, and develop a team of 15 to 20 Network Engineers, who are part of the network engineering team responsible for the delivery of Telecommunications Networks and Solutions for the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration). The scope of work includes service requirements analysis, planning, design, and deployment of Telecom facilities and equipment in support of the FAA’s communications and operations nationwide.• The scope of work also includes the modernization of the FAA’s telecommunication network and the transition from legacy transport technologies such SONET Rings and TDM access circuits (DS1/DS3s), into new network architectures like Carrier Ethernet and LTE.• Regularly coordinate engineering activities with other engineering teams, including Equipment, Transport, and IP Engineering, Network Operations, Sub-Contracts, Finance, and others to ensure effective communication and the successful transition from legacy SONET and TDM technologies to Ethernet/IP network solutions.• Cultivate a culture of trust and open dialogue, empowering each team member to achieve their fullest potential.
