ABOUT JUAN J. MARINO

I’m an Industrial Engineer (B.S. Magna Cum Laude, M.S.) from West Virginia University, passionate about building systems that improve performance, whether in organizations, technology, or personal development.During my graduate studies, I worked for two years with the WVU Pollution Prevention Team, supporting sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives for businesses across West Virginia. This experience allowed me to apply engineering principles beyond theory, delivering real-world impact through data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.Alongside my academic journey, I’ve been deeply involved in ed-tech and entrepreneurship. As Continuous Improvement Lead at Stud-IA, I apply Industrial Engineering methodologies to optimize internal processes, product development, and tool utilization. Through hypothesis-driven testing and iterative improvement, I help enhance our AI-powered platform that transforms student notes into personalized learning resources, summaries, mind maps, flashcards, and practice exams, helping students learn more efficiently, study smarter and perform better.Beyond engineering, I’m committed to personal growth and discipline. While completing my master’s degree and working two roles, as a Graduate Research Assistant, and at Stud-IA, I trained for and completed my first full marathon. Balancing these responsibilities pushed me to reach my best physical shape and adopt the mindset of a hybrid athlete: consistent, focused, and performance-driven.I’m driven by problem-solving, continuous improvement, and purpose-driven impact.
