ABOUT JUAN RAFAEL DELGADO VÉLIZ
An education professional with more than 16 years of experience, including close to a decade dedicated to a dynamic role in a global organization working to introduce talent into under-resourced, developing education systems. I am a strong manager, with experience teaching and as a lawyer. I bring Masters level degrees in both Public and Business Administration and Management, earned domestically and internationally. In my most recent Mid-career Public Administration program, I integrated a strong focus on data analysis and behavioral economic insights as drivers to find solutions at the policy level that can tackle systemic challenges in education, design and implement programs that enhance student’s outcomes and support principal’s and teacher’s performance. A key cross-cutting theme was uncovering ways to effectively mobilize communities to participate in the design, implementation, feedback, and results of new programs and policies. In addition to the technical skills I bring to my next role, is my unfaltering commitment to high-quality education for all students.
