ABOUT JUAN CARLOS SUAREZ
I am a software engineer with over five years of combined experience in machine learning, data engineering, and software engineering. Flexibility and adaptability are at the core of my success. Having lived in five countries, I’ve developed the ability to quickly integrate into new environments and excel under changing circumstances. This adaptability was most evident when I took over my team lead’s responsibilities in under a month, successfully mastering the role and driving the team’s success.During my time as a researcher at the Chair of Digital Health at Friedrich-Alexander University, I applied machine learning algorithms to classify patterns in biomedical time-series signals such as IMU, EMG, and ECG, as well as to analyze complex tabular data. These experiences not only honed my data science skills but also ignited my passion for leveraging data-driven solutions to address healthcare challenges. At Siemens Healthineers, I further developed my technical and leadership capabilities by contributing to large-scale data engineering projects that integrated shopfloor equipment data into scalable infrastructures. I led the design of a monitoring platform leveraging tools such as Docker and Django, managed cross-functional teams, and streamlined processes to ensure successful project outcomes. This experience equipped me with a unique combination of technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and leadership skills.I am now seeking a Data Scientist/ML Engineer role that allows me to combine my software development expertise, machine learning knowledge, and leadership capabilities to improve outcomes and processes. My experience in deploying production-level, containerized software, building microservices architectures, and implementing CI/CD pipelines equips me to contribute across the entire lifecycle of data science projects, including ML-Ops and the seamless deployment of machine learning solutions.
