Key Role as a Field Engineer and trainer in Powins organization to accomplish operational success. Field installation: • Prioritize and enforce safe work practices described in the Energy Control Program and installation Manual, contribute, and sign off on JHA/JSA. • Act as Company’s onsite, customer-focused representative; adhere to the customer’s safety program and onsite protocol; serve as a Company resource for answers to technical questions pertaining Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) installation manual. • Provide technical support for field teams. • Act as training lead for installers, field teams, and clients. • Interface with back-office engineering as required. • Track, report, and support resolution of onsite system issues. • Provide daily progress reports during the installation phase. Project Commissioning Tasks: • Act as onsite lead for BESS commissioning and acceptance testing. • Provide remote commissioning support and fault isolation troubleshooting support. • Work directly with HVAC, Fire Suppression System (FSS) PCS, and other equipment commissioning teams. • Develop and execute commissioning plans, including resourcing, logistics, and scheduling. • Perform battery examinations/inspections, identify, and resolve issues and errors, and run final commissioning. • Provide daily progress reports during the commissioning phase. • Create professional commissioning and testing reports for internal stakeholders and external customers. Field Operations: • Act as onsite and remote subject matter expert on troubleshooting and repairing BESS equipment. • Provide daily progress reports for field operations work. • Create professional troubleshooting and or progress reports for internal stakeholders and external customers. • Complete periodic system inspection and maintenance or assist service contractors with the same. • Assist with spare parts inventory management and logistics.
