GILLIG is a leading manufacturer of heavy-duty transit buses. From design to final assembly and customer care service, each bus is known for their unmatched quality and earned a reputation. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, will provide leadership and vision overseeing the accounting, financial reporting, internal controls, tax, and compliance function of the company. Collaborate to create and deploy business objectives, policies, and programs that will be integrated throughout the entire organization. Will provide business partner support with the rest of the organization to achieve GILLIG\'s strategic goals. Responsibilities: Financial and Management Reporting. Ensure reporting is in accordance with US GAAP. Responsible for oversight of preparation of financial statements, management discussion & analysis (MD & A). Costing Analysis and Modeling: Perform bus costing and analysis, maintaining standards and modeling cost around the Company\'s innovation product plan Internal Controls: establish and maintaining risk assessments and internal control frameworks to mitigate key risks and safeguard assets. Tax: Oversee tax function for all aspects of federal, state and local tax filing requirements and compliance for income taxes, sales and use taxes, excise taxes, property taxes and other regulatory requirements. Treasury: Responsible for the treasury function, managing working capital and maintaining relationship with banking partners. Continuous Improvement. System and M&A Strategy: scale and evaluates different M&A opportunities. Financial Audit: physical inventory counts and recording, ensuring identification and segregation of surplus (excess) and obsolete items Collaboration: Work directly with other functions, and maintain effective working relationships with external auditors, private equity ownership, and outside regulatory agencies. Finance Team Development: Lead a team of 12, to cover all responsibilities listed, and value add activities.
