Bred from Silicon Valley in the San Francisco Bay Area, I\'m now a US-remote platform engineer at Heroku building out the underlying runtime for Kubernetes-backed services on the platform.My team is a globally distributed, remote-first team building a globally distributed platform as a service (PaaS). The future is trending towards remote culture and I know I personally work my best when given the flexibility to work from anywhere. I care about being part of a collaborative and empathetic team that works well together. That means: being able to challenge each other in order to help each other grow, being able to give and receive feedback and have tough conversations out of mutual respect, and supporting each other with empathy through one another\'s learning and communication styles.
