ABOUT JOHANNES EHOULÉ T.

I am a third-year Industrial Engineering student at the University of Toronto, with a passion for designing more human-centric cities. Having grown up in diverse environments around the world, I’ve experienced firsthand the transformative power of well-designed urban spaces and sustainable transport systems.I’m deeply passionate and dream about using my career to contribute to creating cities that prioritize people over cars—cities where biking, walking, and public transit are not just alternatives, but the preferred modes of transportation. My Industrial Engineering academic background with focus in operations research, programming, data science, and human factors engineering has equipped me with the technical skills to support this vision. Alongside my studies, I have served as Vice President of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) UofT chapter, where I honed my leadership skills and fostered teamwork in organizing impactful events such as our annual NSBEHacks (Hackathon) with record breaking attendance.Whether it’s through optimizing transportation systems, improving urban infrastructure, or reducing car centrism, I’m eager to contribute to creating more livable, human-focused cities. I believe that engineering solutions must not only be innovative but also sustainable, and I’m excited about the opportunities to use my skills to make a meaningful impact.I love building connections with others who share this passion, and I’m always open to discussing and learning more about how we can make cities better places for everyone. Shoot me a message if you want to chat more about this!
