   Here, I manage IT infrastructure and facility operations with responsibility for ensuring the performance and availability of servers, workstations, the Microsoft 365 tenant, AWS platform, Dell VxRail/VMware infrastructure, SonicWALL firewall/VPN, switches/routers, data recovery appliances, VoIP telephone systems, and building security systems.My achievements include securing thousands of dollars in monthly savings by renegotiating contracts with vendors.I used VMware to implement virtual servers, eliminating 90% of physical servers. I also migrated an on-premise Exchange server to a platform hosted on Microsoft 365.By re-engineering the company’s disaster recovery site, I was able to leverage virtual servers in AWS and off-site data replication to enable the uninterrupted operation of mission-critical systems and services. I plan and execute annual disaster recovery testing.I was able to expand the bandwidth of the company’s primary Internet connection by 400% while also lowering monthly payments for the circuit.I am credited with creating a high-availability infrastructure using Oracle Active Failover to automatically route Internet traffic to a secondary circuit in the event of primary circuit failure. I also established redundant cooling units, an on-site generator and APC, and redundant firewall and VPN connections.I have been able to protect systems and information through the deployment of security solutions that have included Active Directory Group Policies, Microsoft Defender, Web Application Firewall, Intrusion Prevention Systems, Qualys/Nessus Vulnerability Scanning, SecureWorks Penetration testing, KnowBe4 Security Awareness training, DUO Multifactor Authentication, and enhanced EDR/Anti-Virus protection.
