As a founding organizer I helped study the market opportunity for a new commercial bank, recruit the executive team to develop the business plan and successfully submit a charter with the FDIC and State of Michigan. Our team successfully raised $18M in capital via a community capital campaign as a SEC registered public company during the economic turmoil of 2009.I now serve as a Director (elected by shareholders) for both the Bank and the Bank Holding Company, Chairperson of the Compensation Committee, and I am a member of the Executive Committee.
