   Cogmotos is a privately held company developing de-risked assets for prevention and treatment of (1) postoperative delirium (lead program);(2) other diseases driven by both neural and vascular pathology.Our lead asset has clinical proof of concept (three trials; all with >50% incidence reduction vs. placebo) and US patent coverage for prevention of postoperative delirium and other post-operative cognitive disorders. Details on other intellectual property are available under confidentiality.We have rights to a second asset that will enhance efficacy by addressing the vascular component of postoperative delirium and other CNS diseases that are driven in part by vascular pathology.Postoperative delirium (POD) is a critically unmet medical need, afflicting about 25%(1.4 million) of the 5.5 million US patients ≥65 years undergoing major surgery each year. POD is associated with at least $35 billion of incremental cost to the US healthcare system. There are no drugs approved to treat POD, making it perhaps the largest unaddressed disorder of aging.
