About Scott Gregory

Scott’s hallmark of success is his ability to conceptualize issues, get past the clutter and work collaboratively with his clients to get to the core of the problem. It is said of Scott that “he can be counted on to jump in and get to the right solution no matter how complex it is.” Currently in PwC\'s financial services practice, Scott provides comprehensive tax services to banks, insurance companies, and other financial institutions. Prior to joining that group, Scott became one of the Firm\'s leading income tax accounting experts as a member of PwC\'s National Accounting and Consulting Services practice. There he consulted with audit teams on various complex accounting issues, such as changes in valuation allowances, business combinations, and investments in foreign operations. In addition, Scott is often called upon to speak on top of mind tax accounting topics. Scott contributed to the development of the Firm\'s Guide to Accounting for Income Taxes and has co-authored several of the Firm\'s publications on tax accounting issues. With his craving for knowledge and his unrelenting reliability, Scott applies his technical skills to manage clients through the tax complexities of corporate life cycle events. He understands first-hand the challenges facing corporate tax departments, having served himself as associate tax counsel in charge of international planning for a Fortune 500 oil and gas company. Additionally, he has worked with corporate finance and development, investment bankers and legal counsel on various transactions, including a number of significant M&A and corporate restructuring transactions. Scott has a B.B.A. in Accounting from the University of Iowa and a J.D. from SMU. He has enjoyed community involvement with several non-for-profits, including serving as Chairman of the Finance Committee for the Friends of the Zoo, which is the operating entity for the Kansas City Zoo. Scott resides in Dallas, TX with his wife and two children.
