ABOUT JEAN-SÉBASTIEN B.
At 25, I led the design of Spa Balnéa — today one of the most celebrated wellness destinations in Canada. That project planted a question I\'ve been trying to answer ever since: What if buildings could perform as real estate and heal the people inside them? Twenty years later, that question became BE_MONDO. But first, I boarded a plane to Shanghai. — 12 years in Asia. Based out of Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Singapore. As a global design leader with Gensler, Lemay, and B+H, I opened offices and delivered projects across Vietnam, India, the UAE, Morocco, Sri Lanka, Haiti, and the Caribbean. → Airports → Fortune 500 tech campuses — Microsoft, Tencent, Spreadtrum→ Destination masterplans — Casablanca, Dubai, Montréal → Mixed-use towers — Humaniti, SandHill Plaza, Thao Dien → Hotels, resorts, and retail flagships on the world\'s most sought-after streets And the work closest to my heart: a biophilic children\'s hospital in Shenzhen, a senior care rehab in Singapore, family medicine clinics in Québec.$5.5B built. 1.5M m². 20+ countries. Four continents. — Then Covid happened. I came home to Montréal with one conviction: The next chapter of real estate won\'t be won on square footage or thread count. It will be won on human nervous systems and environmental resilience. Healthcare taught me what hospitality too often forgets: space itself is a medical device. Light, sound, air, and nature measurably change human outcomes. That\'s the lens I bring to everything I design now. — What I\'m building today: → BE_MONDO — AI-native sensory design and wellness think tank. We audit real estate portfolios and future concepts for neuroarchitectural and longevity ROI. → BC2 — Director of Design & Innovation. Biophilic cities. Nordic spa concepts. Indigenous-led resort design. Senior living reinvented. Mixed-use that gives cities back to their people. → Early-stage bold-vision work. I\'m called in at day one — when a brief doesn\'t fit an existing category and needs someone who can sketch the vision, test it with AI, and stress-test the numbers. Lab notebook:@ai.art.architecture. I work well with visionary clients, architects, developers, cities, and founders. My focus now: wellness hospitality. Spas, resorts, retreats, urban wellness destinations. It\'s where I started at 25. It\'s where the market is heading. It\'s where I do my best work. If that\'s your next move — DM me. I answer. — Based in Montréal. Working globally. Trilingual (FR / EN / international). 25 years in. More curious than ever.
