Primarily, this has been in defense of personal injury claims in the energy sector, including claims under the Jones Act, general maritime law, the Longshore and Harbor Workers Compensation Act (LHWCA) and it\'s extensions and the Texas Workers Compensation Act, as well as claims and lawsuits against non-subscriber employers in Texas.As part of my maritime and admiralty practice, my client and I successfully defended multiple Jones Act seaman lawsuits arising from my client\'s vessel participation in the BP Macondo Oil Spill.Additionally, I provide advice and representation to temporary services employers, staffing and staff leasing agencies regularly engage me for consultation and guidance related to employee practices, contracts, insurance coverage, and injuries to employees.
