ABOUT JON ROBERTS

I\'m passionate about building authentic relationships that fuel generosity and create lasting change. For the past 15 years, I’ve helped nonprofits grow their impact through community-based fundraising, major donor development, capital campaigns, and creative donor engagement strategies. Every major gift I’ve helped secure started the same way: with a relationship, not an ask. My journey began in 2010 with Young Life juggling operations and fundraising, walking alongside youth in Chicago and later in Kentwood. In 2016, I joined Sunny Crest Youth Ranch as their first development hire, helping secure transformational funding for 2 small capital campaigns in addition to annual programing for; residential care, therapy, job skill readiness, equine programming and education for foster youth. From there, I joined Mel Trotter Ministries, focusing on major gift cultivation and community prospecting while helping expand housing for our neighbors experiencing homelessness. In 2023, I joined the Community Food Club in Grand Rapids as their first Development Director, leading fundraising and marketing efforts for an innovative nonprofit grocery store model serving thousands each month. That same year, I co-founded Antrim Storage, a self-storage business in Northern Michigan.
