Dr. Martinelli is a dual-trained physician and optometrist whose career has been dedicated to redefining primary eye care within modern medicine. He earned his Doctor of Optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1988 and later completed his Doctor of Medicine from St. George’s University School of Medicine in 2015. His clinical training includes Cooperman-Barnabas Medical Center and Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in NJ, and West Virginia University’s Ruby Hospital.As the medical director of Martinelli Eye & Laser Centers, Dr. Martinelli has provided decades of advanced medical eye care, LASIK, and surgical management.Beyond clinical care, Dr. Martinelli is founder of Ophthalmic Physician & Publishing, creator of the widely read \"The Ophthalmic Physician\" LinkedIn newsletter with followers, the author of several books including \"A Foundation for The Ophthalmic Physician: Labs & Imaging for Primary Eye Care\",\"Dr. Martinelli’s Vision & Neurology Casebook\", and \"Dr. Martinelli\'s Modern Glaucoma\".A Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry (FAAO) and physician member of the American Medical Association (AMA), he has also served as a consultant, lecturer, and preceptor (PCO) in ocular disease & therapeutics within his practice.
