Since its founding in 1977, Historic Tyler, Inc. has been dedicated to the preservation and rehabilitation of the architectural and cultural resources in Tyler, Texas. Membership ensures our organization can advocate for historic preservation measures in Tyler’s future economic and cultural development. Since 1981, our largest annual fundraiser has been Historic Tyler on Tour (HTOT). Held each spring during the Azalea Trails, this ticketed event is open to the public and allows attendees to tour historic buildings that have been lovingly preserved by generations of owners. HTOT helps fund operational expenses and preservation projects throughout the year and allows us to share with the public the benefits (and beauty) of historic preservation.
