About James Bancroft

My name is James Bancroft, and I am an alumnus of the Darla Moore School of Business at University of South Carolina and a Client Associate at Gallagher GBS. At Gallagher, I have grown tremendously in my knowledge of employee benefits, assisting and consulting high importance clients in a fast-paced and demanding environment.At UofSC, I studied Finance with a concentration in Data Analytics. It was here that I honed my technical skills and gained experience in machine learning, financial modeling, and analysis. In addition to my classes, I served as a peer tutor in mathematics and finance, turning complex ideas into digestible lesson plans, successfully bringing struggling students to the top of the class. Before and during college I worked at a five star ocean front restaurant in my hometown of Barnstable, MA. It was here that I developed strong interpersonal skills and learned what it takes to succeed in any business. I worked nearly every position in the restaurant from dishwasher to line cook to server and found it takes a strong understanding from the bottom to the top to be truly great at your job. I apply this lesson to every aspect of life and make it a point to be informed on every aspect that goes into a product or service offering so I contribute to my company at the highest level possible. I am comfortable in new and challenging situations. I moved from my home to a city I’ve only visited for a position which I have no industry experience and have thrived in this new environment. I accredit this comfortability in the uncomfortable to my vast travel experience to 20+ countries across North America, Europe, and Africa mostly traveling alone. I am a team player, a strategist, and a hard worker and am always looking for the next opportunity. Thank you for reading!
