   Since joining Google I\'ve worked on several teams within Ads Site Reliability Engineering (SRE): Ads Quality Infrastructure, YouTube Ads, and now Ads ML. My current team (Ads ML) supports all machine learning infra behind Google Ads (e.g. the ML models which determine which ads to show to users). This constitutes a crucial part of the Google Ads backend, and is on the critical path for almost every $ earned in Ads (currently $200B+ per year)- During my time I\'ve worked on various projects, encompassing the typical work expected of SRE/DevOps working on massively-distributed systems, e.g. participating in a 24/7 on-call rotation, providing consultation to our development teams, system administration, optimising resource utilisation, improving monitoring and tooling, and capacity planning & management- For context, the services my team supports are on the order of millions of CPU cores, PiB of RAM, and EiB of disk bytes.
