I am an inventor and parallel entrepreneur with over twenty years experience working on signal processing, wireless communications, distributed databases, or quantitative investing. Last I checked, I had 32 granted and pending patents in these areas.A common theme of my career as an engineer has been to apply cutting edge signal processing at the bottom of the tech stack, to solve problems which often are observed at the top of the stack. Some highlights: creating the DASH7 technology standard, building the solar-powered HayTag, building a medtech device that used to need a room full of custom hardware onto cheap cellphone parts, a novel implementation of the Voyager 2 error correction technology onto $1 IoT silicon.
