About Joy Wingard

I have worked in TV in a variety of capacities, with a focus in casting for the past several years. I began my career in promotions/marketing at a dual affiliate station where I gained experience and knowledge that gave my career a solid foundation. After moving from Pittsburgh to LA, I worked in production and development before deciding to concentrate in casting. But, my career didn\'t turn one-dimensional. I\'ve utilized my marketing skills while casting, I\'ve developed and pitched my own shows, and outside of work I began volunteering for an animal rescue group and used my promotions background to help them where I could. My experience is multi-faceted and I\'ve learned skills, built upon them, and grown with each new opportunity. TV has been suffering as an industry and jobs are scarce for most of us in it, so yes, I am looking for work and have that notable #opentowork banner on my photo. For my next position, I\'m open to a job in TV, vertical series, podcasts, or other entertainment avenue, or even a related role in a different industry. Having said that, with all my transferable skills and my love for dogs, I\'m very open to pivoting to a communications/media/marketing/events position helping dogs or other animals in any way. That could mean a job with a non-profit, or a company like DOG PPL, Chewy, or RetrievAir, etc. I work hard and I care about what I do and contributing to the team that I\'m a part of!
