I was hired by Amentum March 2022 and was immediately deployed in support of the root cause analysis for a nuclear waste shipping event between LANL and Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) and an engineering server failure at the Amentum Denver Office. Since that time, I have been an assessor on 8 Contractor Readiness Assessments at 3 DOE nuclear facilities, assessing program implementation in the areas of Training, Operations, Procedures, Startup Plans, Safety Basis, Industrial Safety, and Waste Management.In addition, for Amentum’s Performance Assurance organization, I jointly developed and led a root cause analysis 2-week pilot course, including techniques such as barrier analysis, cause and effects diagrams, and change analysis. I developed formal roles and responsibilities for the Operations organizations at WIPP and led the development and implementation of an Asset Configuration Management program for the Infrastructure & Operations Directorate at Livermore National Laboratory. I was then named by the Readiness Project Manager to provide expertise for standing up the Waste Management, Training, and Procedures Programs for startup of nuclear operations at the Waste Characterization, Reduction and Repackaging Facility.Currently, I am supporting the LANL Maintenance and Site Services Office of Improvement, revising institution-wide procedures for work planning, execution, and closeout; performing DOE-mandated assessments; and supporting effectiveness evaluations, extent of condition reviews, and corrective action planning. I am also a key team member in the development of the Human Factors Engineering Program at the High-Level Waste facility at Hanford National Lab. I am concurrently completing my Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification, leading a cross-functional team in a project to improve the efficiency and successful execution of the Amentum Technical Services GES Consulting Process.
