Joy is a highly creative communications and marketing executive working across nonprofit and private sectors. She currently serves as the Head of Communications & Marketing at The Asian American Foundation (TAAF) where she is building a best in class team and oversees all comms, PR, marketing, and brand efforts for the organization. In her nonprofit career, Joy led comms at Team Rubicon, a veteran-led humanitarian organization and currently sits on the Advisory Council of The Very Asian Foundation. Prior to moving into the impact space, Joy enjoyed a career of 10+ years agency and in-house communications and PR experience in the film and television space. Most recently, she served as Director of Worldwide Publicity for Sony Pictures Entertainment, leading campaigns across beloved film franchises such as Jumanji, Angry Birds, Spider-Man, and more. She has supported PR and influencer campaigns across all major studios and streaming platforms. She holds an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management and a BA in Political Science and Mass Communications from UC Berkeley.
