My Career Path: I have a M.Com. degree in Accounting and Finance and passed CA Intermediate. I have seven+ years of solid work experience in reputed firms like VMware and R Rajan and Associates. In my present role as Senior Financial Analyst at VMware, I manage various finance, accounting and reporting processes, corporate and tax laws and statutory compliance. I Specialize in: I have a complete understanding of the following: accounting and reporting of payroll (US and international), vendor invoices / SOW / PRs, prepaid assets, intangibles, goodwill, leasehold assets, deferred revenue, mergers and acquisitions, intercompany assets / liabilities, intercompany invoices, strategic investments, debt arrangements, interest templates, revaluation and translation, cost plus and indirect taxation. I am also skilled in the following: financial reporting, auditing, project management, training and mentoring, reconciliations, Indian GAAP, US GAAP and IFRS. I am also proficient in optimizing the latest accounting software such as SAP, Oracle, Tally, QuickBooks and OSV Atmosphere to record, review, reconcile and report transactions. My Achievements: • At VMware, I received ‘At the Best’ award for outstanding performance during attrition / restructuring phase for two consecutive quarters and at year-end. • I got monetary ‘Spot Award’ multiple times for outstanding performance for smooth quarter-end reporting. • I prepared audit schedules as per Big4 standards and assisted statutory and tax auditors. • I led the Global Prepaid Automation Project, which comprises 80% of the current assets of the company as part of Robotic Process Automation project. Life Outside the Office: I’m not just your stereotypical workhorse: I’m actually a pretty friendly person with good inter-personal skills. I don’t spend all my time in the office. I enjoy nature and like to spend my spare time playing sports like throw ball and badminton. Community Service: I am an active member of community service activities under VMware initiative teams like VMware Foundation, VMinclusion, vLearn, vInnovate and vWomen, passionately serving and volunteering in the events conducted towards giving back to the society. I have visited orphanages, conducted fun activities for orphans and supported creative painting for the flyover in JP Nagar, Bangalore. At VMware, I was involved in packaging and distributing pre-loved clothes, books, shoes and accessories to the underprivileged /schools during Christmas and year-end celebrations.
