In my current role as a Data Engineer in the BFSI and financial analytics domain, I work at the crossroads of data, analytics, and business strategy. My focus is on transforming how data is used in the actuarial and insurance space, helping make insurance smarter and more responsive for customers across Canada, the USA, Europe, Indonesia, and the Philippines.I work for S&P Global, a leading provider of market intelligence, financial data, and analytics that help organizations, investors, and governments make informed decisions across global markets.My daily work involves designing and managing large-scale data pipelines using AWS technologies such as Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, S3, RDS, and Redshift, along with Databricks for scalable data processing and analytics. These systems help turn massive amounts of raw data into useful insights that support product design, pricing models, and regulatory reporting.Collaboration is central to what I do. I partner closely with actuaries, underwriters, and product managers to make sure the data solutions we build meet both business goals and compliance standards. I primarily use Python and SQL for data transformation, analytics, and creating dashboards and metrics that track business performance. I also follow agile practices to stay flexible and deliver results quickly in a fast-moving environment.
