ABOUT JOYCE THENDEU

As a certified professional coder (CPC) with an Associate of Arts degree in Healthcare Administration, I have gained valuable experience and skills in the medical coding field, especially in relation to the Hierarchical Condition Category (HCC) model. I have worked with various healthcare organizations and providers to ensure accurate and compliant data capture and abstraction for risk adjustment purposes.Most recently, I was an HCC coder at RCM Health Care Services, where I reviewed medical records using the HCC profiler software and assigned ICD-10-CM codes for chronic conditions. I consistently achieved 95% productivity and quality audit rating in the projects. I also adhered to the AHA Coding Clinic, coding guidelines, and health plan policies, as well as the code of ethics and standards of ethical coding. I am motivated by the challenge and the opportunity to contribute to the improvement of healthcare outcomes and quality.
