About Joyce Miller
My speciality is evaluation research, organizational development, and quality improvement, with a focus on linking research, policy, and practice. I was a professor of sociology at Villa Maria College and Gannon University between and held the position of Associate Provost at Gannon University, 19••••97. In 1980 I established KeyStone Research Corporation (KSRC), a woman-owned research and consulting organization, where I apply my knowledge and skills to develop, implement, and/or evaluate organizations in the service sector. I developed an application of Lean/Six Sigma concepts and methods in the human services, which is an approach to process improvement that has its roots in manufacturing. A book on this subject was published by Lyceum Books, Inc, in 2011, entitled:\"Improving Performance in Service Organizations: How to Implement a Lean Transformation.\"Specialties: Evaluation research, process improvement, applied social science research, program design and implementation
