ABOUT JOYCE C. CHAN

I am a registered Speech-Language Pathologist / Speech Therapist with the Alberta College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA). I completed my Master’s at the University of Alberta\'s Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine, specializing in speech language pathology. I have an undergraduate commerce degree at the University of Alberta\'s Faculty of Business. I currently practice in Calgary, Alberta. My goal as a rehab professional is to provide excellent client-centered care by fully collaborating with my clients and their loved ones throughout the continuum of care. My true passion is to help clients find their voice so that they can communicate and maintain connected to society. I have experience working with diverse clients from different backgrounds and cultures. I believe that providing the best therapy not only requires an understanding of the client\'s medical condition, but also a sensitivity to their unique personal and environmental factors. I am a firm believer of life-long learning so I can be better equipped to serve my clients with updated evidence-based treatments. Languages: English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
