As the \'Year Out\'(Internship Year) Lead, and as a Senior Tutor in Fashion Design education, I bring a deep understanding of both design and industry processes, clear perspectives and practical encouragement to assist and support our excellent, talented and hard-working students during their placement year.I use my extensive knowledge and background as a designer and design manager, which was augmented with a 10-year role as a specialist writer for the pioneering fashion forecast service WGSN. I was responsible for creating an innovative on-line platform for some of the best graduate design talent internationally. In my current role, I liaise with our growing list of industry partners and my university colleagues on a daily basis to co-ordinate internships, industry visits, promote opportunities, competitions and other initiatives that greatly enhance our students future employability.
