I am an established business leader with 40 years in commercial broadcast and the non-profit television industry. I possess an unyielding ability to develop, coordinate and implement community engagement initiatives, identify key audiences and sponsorship avenues to gain maximum return on investment for my clients. Through my years of experience, I have proven to be an expert in the areas of public relations, advertising, sales and marketing, promotions and special events. I have extensive knowledge of broadcast media and the non-profit industry. I possess a deep understanding of effective fundraising, marketing, public relations and the importance of communicating the value and mission of an organization. As the Director of Marketing & Community Partnerships with WEDU in Tampa, I am responsible for obtaining corporate funding support through sponsorships for on-air, online and print as well as special events. I work with my clients to understand their business, their mission and the challenges that they face to create unique successful opportunities to achieve their goals. Additionally, I help create local partnerships and community outreach events around local and national PBS documentaries such as The Freedom Riders and the 50th Anniversary of the March on Washington. In my time outside of WEDU, I focus on serving as a volunteer on numerous boards of directors for other non-profit organizations, as well as providing motivation and resources to others so that they can realize their full potential.The Tampa Bay Business Journal recognized me in 2004 and 2009 as Business Woman of the Year - Media Category. I was also a finalist for the award in 2013.
