ABOUT JOY OKEYO
As a trainee pharmacist at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board, I developed my clinical, communication, and leadership skills through the Foundation Pharmacy Training Programme. The programme included working in hospital, st mary’s pharmaceutical unit, general practice, and community pharmacy settings, providing patient-centred care and ensuring safe and effective use of medicines. I have completed the programme and I am now a GPhC registered pharmacist.I graduated from Cardiff University with a Master of Pharmacy degree in 2023. I have also enhanced my digital literacy and data analysis skills by completing certifications in SharePoint and Excel. I am passionate about pursuing a career in industrial pharmacy, where I can apply my knowledge, skills, and values to improve health outcomes and quality of life.
