About Joy Mukherjee

I find my passion in exploring pathways for people to pursue their dreams. And that includes my own. I seek to drive social change at scale through development projects. I relentlessly push for monitoring, evaluation and impact assessment as drivers for delivering quality output from development projects. I continually strive for personal development. I support the CSR initiatives of DCM Shriram Limited. In this role I work with different businesses of the Company in implementing, monitoring and evaluating their CSR projects. I also interacts with non profits, multilaterals, Industry associations etc to further the impact of CSR projects being undertaken by the group. After graduating from the Institute of Agri Sciences, BHU, Varanasi I joined the Indian Army and was commissioned into the Regiment of Artillery in 1985. I served in various field formations till 1991. After this stint in the forces, I attended a masters program in Business Administration from Madurai Kamraj University, majoring in Human Resource Management. On joining the industry, I worked first with Siel Limited and then with DCM Shriram. I have traversed a wide range of functions including HR, Operations, Administration & CSR. I have attended various training programs; prominent among them being Executive Development Program at IIM - Ahmedabad, Senior Management Development program at MDI - Gurgaon, ISO Lead Auditors program with DNV. I am a member of Sugar Technologists Association of India, National HRD Network and am an intern at Sumedhas. I am a member of the CII National Committee on Water and a member of CII Northern Region CSR Committee.
