J and R Trucking (DBA Long Hood) Hauling has roots dating back to the late 90\'s when Josue Ramos SR. started trucking.After several years of leasing in 2005 J and R Trucking was born and operated by mom and pop, mom being the sole proprietor. J(osue) and R(aquel) TruckingJosue Ramos Sr. Operated a single truck and flatbed from 2005 all the way up until late 2018. After growing tired of the nuances in this really tough business he decided to offer Josue Ramos JR.(me haha) a go at it or he would resort to selling what little he had.Late 2018 was when my father reached that tipping point, I am sure there is no need to share just how difficult being a carrier can be. I was reluctant and wary but decided to take the risk. The rest is history it was never in his intention to grow but I had different plans and dreams.Here we are a handful of trucks later.Logistics is a way of life for us, we genuinely care for drivers and the sacrifices they make, just like everyone should. We care about who we share the roads with. We care about the freight we are entrusted with. We care about healthy mutually beneficial relationships across the board.We are here for the long haul and always eager and ready to work.
