ABOUT JOSS GILLET

I am an experienced Data Analytics leader, having spent the past 10+ years building the ICT industry’s most scrutinised data and insights platform.In my role, I define and implement a data research agenda and roadmap with a particular focus on product competitiveness and long-term relevancy. Over the past years, I have played a leading role in setting up all aspects of a global Data Analytics practice from data sourcing to data modelling, scenarios forecasting, and the communication of actionable outputs to stakeholders. I have developed advanced analytical skills, with a proven track record in elaborating and communicating strategic recommendations to industry experts and government agencies. I have created impactful proprietary indicators, authored over 200 research papers and set-up an annual consumer surveys data practice - spanning across 50+ countries worldwide - notably to identify future growth drivers, technology trends, competitive pressures and changes in consumer behaviour.I have developed my leadership skills having managed several teams across the UK and India, promoting diversity and hiring talented data scientists and analysts to achieve the business vision and objectives. I am responsible for our data partnerships agenda with third-parties and international organisations (e.g. UN, ITU, World Bank, OECD).I have a keen interest in machine learning and AI algorithms, and care deeply about data quality and accuracy. I am well-versed with the ins and outs of database management, data visualisation (e.g. Highcharts, Plotly), and data programming notably in Python, SQL, Django, HTML/CSS, SPSS, AWS.Lastly, I am an experienced spokesperson, having traveled extensively to speak at conferences worldwide, give presentations and moderate sessions. I am experienced in managing and raising media exposure, and have been interviewed by leading global media sources.
