Accomplished Chartered Engineer, Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers ( FIMechE ) and the Permanent Way Institution ( FPWI ) with a strong background in the fundamental requirements of railway infrastructure, wheel rail interface and expert domain knowledge in key areas of safety, assurance, regulation ( NoBo / DeBo / AsBo ), research, innovation, design and standards development.Appointed by the Railway Industry Association ( RIA ) to represent UK suppliers at the Railway Safety and Standards Board\'s ( RSSB ) Infrastructure Standards Committee, to support the development of Railway Group Standards ( RGS / RIS ) and provide an interface of Interoperable projects and research development. Worked with RSSB and the Office of Rail and Road ( ORR ) to developed National Specific Cases for inclusion with the Infrastructure Technical Specification for Interoperability. Notified Body ( NoBo ) assessor responsible for verifying compliance of Network Rail Infrastructure Projects and Crossrail Infrastructure sub-systems with the requirements contained within the Technical Specification for Interoperability. Also responsible for Designated Body ( DeBo ) assessments against UK Notified National Technical Rules. Ongoing support to standards bodies to develop UK and European Standards. Includes the development of European Norms, representing the British Standards Institute ( BSi ) at European Committee for Standardization ( CEN ) working groups. Effective leader and role model with an ability to motivate others to achieve business objectives. Excellent organisational, analytical and problem solving skills and an ability to successfully drive projects, whilst maintaining high quality standards.
