About Jospeter Mbuba

Jospeter Mbuba has made significant contribution to higher education, notably through advancing curriculum development. Using five prestigious international fellowships from the Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program, the Council for the Development of Social Science Research in Africa, and the Carnegie African Diaspora Fellowship Program, he has introduced and developed criminal justice curriculums as a major/discipline of study in several African universities. Prof. Mbuba has held various administrative roles including heading the Department of Criminal Justice and Public Administration and serving as Graduate Director for the Master of Public Administration program. He has published widely, delivered numerous presentations, and chaired panels at leading professional conferences, including the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences and American Society of Criminology, among others. His research has also had a significant impact on criminal justice policy. His paper \"Lethal Rejection\" was selected by the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs for public opinion of corrections. Additionally, his book,\"Global Perspectives in Policing and Law Enforcement\"(Lexington Books, 2021) was cited in a report for the European Parliament on \"Democratic oversight of the police.\" His latest book,\"Comparative Criminal Justice\"(Rowman & Littlefield, 2023), draws from the experiences of nineteen countries and has become a leading reference on international criminal justice systems.Specialties:* Higher education administration * International grant writing * Curriculum development * Crime prevention * Public Safety * Crime policy
