I am passionate about educational equity and promoting youth empowerment so students understand their agency in educational spaces and experiences. I work to support students in a comprehensive and holistic way, equipping students with the tools they need to be emotionally intelligent, understand their social and civic identities, and develop their personal skills. My work experience includes the following- As an educator, designing curriculums and teaching/facilitating students about social-emotional learning, identity, social issues, and leadership development - Mentoring, advising, and supporting first-generation and/or low-income college students, a community I identify with, and connecting students to resources and opportunities for their career paths - Supervising student groups and committees, highlighting student voices in higher education practices and programs, and implementing initiatives to support their needs
