ABOUT JOSIE JENKINSON

I’m a consultant psychiatrist for older people at the award winning Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals Psychiatric Liaison Service provided by Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. I have 15 years of experience in providing high quality mental health services for older people. I am also a member of the Faculty of Old Age Psychiatry at the Royal College of Psychiatrists, where I represent and advocate for the interests and needs of my colleagues and patients. I am a founder of the Old Age Liaison Network, a network of professionals working with older people in the acute hospital setting. I hold a PhD in old age psychiatry from King\'s College London, an MSc in management and clinical leadership from the University of Brighton. I am passionate about advancing the knowledge and practice of old age psychiatry, and I have co-authored multiple publications on this topic. I am also deputy director of R&D at SABP and have received an Individual Development Award from the Applied Research Collaboration for Kent, Surrey, and Sussex.
