About Josie Cox
Josie is a freelance journalist, editor, columnist, author, and broadcaster.She started her career at Reuters in Germany and Switzerland, where she reported on stock markets and corporate finance before she joined The Wall Street Journal as a correspondent in London. Between January 2017 and January 2019 she was business editor of The Independent. More recently, as a freelancer, she\'s written for Bloomberg, The Times, The Spectator, Forbes, The Washington Post, The Guardian, and many other publications. She\'s a founding editor of The Persistent, a digital journalism platform committed to amplifying women\'s voices, stories, ideas and perspectives.Josie is a frequent guest on the BBC and has also appeared on PBS, ABC, CNN, Al Jazeera, and other networks. She is an experienced panel moderator and has guest lectured at the University of Cambridge’s Institute of Continuing Education. Currently, she\'s an associate instructor at Columbia University\'s School of Professional Studies.She was a 2020/2021 Knight-Bagehot Fellow at Columbia Journalism School in New York City, has a BA from Bath University and an MBA from Columbia Business School. Her first book—WOMEN MONEY POWER (Abrams)—chronicles female economic empowerment since World War II. Her second book is slated for publication in 2027.
