Partnered with C-Suit and the senior leadership team to establish a strategy for diversity and inclusion at YAI. ABOUT JOSHUA TRINIDAD
As an activist for equity and a scholar of ethnic studies and critical race theory, Joshua has 20 years of educational leadership experience in diversity and inclusion work, serving as a professor of education at The University of Colorado and Colorado State University. Prior to coming to YAI, Joshua led D&I efforts at The Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics, where he collaborated with space scientists to develop more inclusive practices for their leaders. He is a proud member, graduate, and past HEP program director for the BUENO Center at The University of Colorado. He was an educational leader in Denver Public Schools for 10 years, serving in many leadership capacities ranging from a school principal to a senior consultant supporting the Family and Community Engagement Department in the fight for educational equity. Joshua has done extensive international leadership work in Mexico and South Korea, where he led school systems with trainings focused on strategic educational practices and diversity and inclusion programming. He did his doctoral studies at Colorado State University with a focus in Leadership and Human Resources. He earned his M. Ed. at The University of Colorado at Boulder and his BSM from The University of Colorado at Denver.
