Healthcare is changing rapidly. With 4 promotions in just 10 years, I’ve been able to grow into roles that have had significant impact and made a difference in major for-profit and not-for-profit health systems. PROFESSIONAL GOALSMy professional goal is to continue to advance my career and operate at the top of my industry, operating in roles where I can identify ways to add value through strategic analysis and execution. I am interested in becoming a hospital Chief Operating Officer or Chief Strategy Officer and ultimately progress to a hospital Chief Executive Officer. WHAT DRIVES ME I have an “intrepreneurial” spirit and want to own the work that I do and for that work to have transformational impact on the organization I work for. I want to be able to collaborate with leaders and teams that I work with and inspire them to do their best work as well. WHERE I’VE MADE A DIFFERENCE Here are a few examples of how I’ve led teams to achieve significant organizational impact: Designed and executed a strategic portfolio management system that reviewed all major system strategic programs and organized the entire $3B capital budget process to ensure alignment with strategy, including evaluation for risk, capacity constraints, cost reduction, ROI, and selection for full business case development and roadmaps for leadership. Implemented a business case development process defining, organizing, and prioritizing projects based on value, leading to the successful implementation and tracking of 85 large-scale projects. Directed the operational turnarounds of the 7 lowest performing hospitals within an 80-hospital healthcare system. Established system-wide best practices benchmarking process across 8 hospital departments working with hospital COOs and Department Directors.
