As a Territory Sales Lead for Hershey, I am responsible for growing the Hershey portfolio within 17 unique accounts. Success in this space requires me to come up with daily solutions based on macro-economic observations, relationships, and sales data. For example, during this past Christmas season I noticed that the #1 packtype in Indianapolis’s Kroger Holiday order was tracking significantly behind schedule. Additionally, a lot of the product was buried inside big displays so it was currently unable to be shopped with the biggest promotion of the season happening soon.I proposed we merchandise the unshoppable product in a Christmas branded cardboard hutch in a separate area for the promotion. I shared a solution with my team and created a leaderboard to track stores that had done this to incentivize execution.26 Stores that executed saw the following- Packtype unit increase of 19%- 27%$ change YoY vs non-participant stores- A +2% Sell Through difference vs National Avg.This is just a single example of the solutions I get to bring each day to collaboratively grow these 6 to 7 figure accounts. These wins help cultivate credibility with the 30+ managers I work with each week in the Fishers, Anderson, and Muncie area.Over the past couple years I have discovered a passion for in talent development and people management through experiences in this role. Next I would like to develop this skill set while growing my selling skills in an Assistant Regional Sales Leader role at the Hershey company where I would manage a part time team that calls on convenience stores.
