Directing the company in complying with requirements of federal, state, and provincial employment regulations (Title VII, ADA, ADEA, CPRA, EEOC, FLSA, FMLA, OFCCP, Employment Standards, etc.) Drafting and overseeing various HR policies, company policies, and company initiatives to standardize operational procedure in accordance with applicable labor laws and company strategy Researching changes in regulations to understand the impact on the organization, and coordinated with various functional areas to implement appropriate practices and policies Working cross-functionally with department managers, directors, and company executives to craft and execute the most effective policies, practices, and guidelines for compliance, employee relations, company culture, and employee retention Overseeing performance management issues, including advising on best course of action, ensuring proper and consistent documentation, following standard procedure, coaching managers, and aiding in conversations with relevant staff Responsible both for creating workplace investigation procedure and overseeing workplace investigations of complaints or grievances to address root causes, develop recommended actions, execute relevant decisions, and inform appropriate stakeholders Processing ADA and LOA requests to ensure compliance and consistency in documentation and practice Directing professional development efforts through the creation of a development program, and partnering with department leaders to craft career roadmaps, IDPs, and an overall development philosophy
