About Joshua M. Patton

I like telling stories, and I like telling the truth. When those two things meet, I find myself incredibly satisfied. I want to make the mundane interesting or to bring the great and terrible down to a more manageable size. Most of my work these days focuses on media analysis and criticism, specifically those stories that use mythic archetypes and themes for in modern day social allegory, typically set in the present or near-future settings.I have been a professional writer for more than 28 years, mostly writing nonfiction, news reporting, and marketing copy. I write with no ego and love collaboration. My time in the U.S. Army taught me the value of being part of a team. Ultimately, I want to tell some stories and help the outlets and clients I work for achieve their goals.at least where content is concerned.
