As a Managed Services Engineer (MSE) for Cloud Technologies, I will serve as a trusted advisor ensuring collaborating with Sales, Support, Administrators, Developers, and other company resources within Penguin Solutions. I will be the designated as the point of contact to help identify customer needs, proposal development with Sales, and preparation for new business and current program offerings within Penguin Solutions. Furthermore, help onboard customers, provide advocacy and guidance to help plan solutions using best practices, coordinates access to subject matter experts, assist with case management, present insights and recommendations on customers spend, workload optimization, event management, and proactively maintain a healthy Penguin Solutions environment.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:o MSEs are responsible for maintaining a professional relationship with clients and cultivate trust of Penguin Computing.o Represent Penguin Solutions at designated tradeshows and conferences.o Identify inefficiencies at the client and propose solutions or bring in other team members to offer solutions.o Must be well organized, personable, and able to form a rapport with new and long-term clients, ensuring client satisfaction.o Leverage customer relationships and professional experience to identify, assess and pursue new technical business opportunities with current or new products.o Contribute technical expertise with sales team opportunities.o Participate in growing Penguin Computing technical capabilities through knowledge-sharing and team collaboration. This includes request for information, request for quotation, and request for proposal.o On-boarding and training customers on current and new products.o Provide post-sales, consultative expertise.o Solve a variety of problems across different customers as they migrate their workloads to the cloud.

With an extensive career spanning over two decades as an IT Professional, my current role is HPC Managed Services Engineer for Penguin Solutions on the Scyld Cloud Central (SCC) and Penguin On-Demand (POD) teams. Penguin Solutions SCC and POD are services that provide Linux High Performance Computing (HPC) clusters in the cloud. SCC and POD are built using Penguin Solutions cloud, hardware platforms, software infrastructure, and open source tools. As the Managed Services Engineer for Cloud Technologies, I provide remote support and administration services for a diverse clientele, utilizing SCC | POD HPC clusters in the cloud. This position allows me to wear many hats, including collaboration with our Internal Sales team to cater to the needs of current and prospective clients and advising on optimal workflows on SCC and POD. Furthermore, I work at the data center where our clusters reside, as needed; identifying and implementing solutions to improve the infrastructure, security, and all aspects of the SCC and POD cloud environments. I enjoy tackling technical challenges while finding and executing IT solutions. Leveraging my organizational and interpersonal abilities, I excel in collaboration between technical and non-technical teams, ensuring quality outcomes for my colleagues and clients.
